The FV2 was a technology showcase rather than a production preview, pairing a 1200 cc enlargement of the Shiver's 90-degree V-twin with a minimal carbon fibre chassis in which the engine did much of the structural work. Its most unusual feature was a GP-derived parallelogram front end instead of a conventional fork, backed by traction control, ABS, ride-by-wire and electronically adjusted suspension. The instrument cluster could link to a PC or phone network for telemetry and new engine maps, and the bike was claimed to weigh under 160 kg.
