The V-twin RSV 1000 R stayed on sale in 2009, the year Aprilia launched its V4-engined RSV4 as the new flagship. The twin was unchanged: 143 hp, Euro 3 exhaust, Öhlins fork, Sachs rear shock and Brembo radial brakes. By then it was the more relaxed, road-friendly option next to its V4 successor.
