The 2008 Factory kept the same recipe as before: the 143 hp V60 Magnesium twin with external catalysts for Euro 3, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear, an Öhlins steering damper and Brembo radial brakes. It was set apart from the standard R by its gold frame, anodised forged OZ wheels, carbon-fibre parts, aluminium steering pin and braided brake lines. It weighed about 4 kg less dry than the standard bike.
