The Pista was a track-day version of the RSV 1000 R Factory, shown at the Bologna Motor Show alongside track versions of Aprilia's smaller sport bikes. It came without lights, horn or indicators, with lightweight fairings in racing colours and a loud titanium Aprilia Racing exhaust that freed up extra mid-range power. It was over 8 kg lighter than the road Factory, and a kit was planned to make it road-legal again.
