For 2004 the standard RSV Tuono carried on almost unchanged. The most visible change was a black frame and swingarm in place of the 2003 bike's light bronze finish. It still used the RSV Mille-derived V-twin and chassis, with a Showa fork, a Sachs shock and a standard steering damper. It remained a cheaper alternative to the Öhlins-equipped Factory version.
