The first road-going RSV4, launched alongside Aprilia's 2009 World Superbike entry and built in limited numbers as the Factory version. Its compact 65-degree V4 replaced the V-twin RSV 1000 at the top of the range, and it came with Öhlins suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes, forged wheels, ride-by-wire with three maps and a frame whose head angle, engine height and swingarm pivot could all be adjusted. It was aimed squarely at track-day riders and racers.
