The 2014 R APRC is essentially a carry-over of the heavily revised 2013 bike, keeping the 184 hp V4, standard Bosch ABS, the 18.5-litre tank and the second-generation APRC electronics with quickshifter. It remained the more affordable route into RSV4 ownership, with non-Öhlins suspension, a Sachs steering damper and a fixed engine position, aimed at riders who wanted the Factory's engine and electronics for road and track days at a lower price.
