The 2018 RSV4 RR carried over the Euro 4 package introduced for 2017, with the 201 hp V4, Sachs suspension, M50-era brakes and the full aPRC electronics including cornering ABS. The news that year was an optional Factory Works kit for 2017-2018 RR and RF owners, which added engine parts, an Akrapovič-specific map, a lithium battery, a lighter tank and MotoGP-derived winglets for roughly 215 hp and about 10 kg less weight. As standard, the RR remained the more affordable, road-focused route into Aprilia's V4 superbike.
