The Falco was Aprilia's first V-twin sport-tourer. It took the RSV Mille's 60-degree twin, detuned it for more midrange, and put it in an aluminium twin-spar chassis with a half fairing and a more upright riding position. Early bikes came with black Showa forks. The 2001 update brought a stronger clutch, revised bars and switchgear, and black fairing lowers.
