By 2013 the Dorsoduro 1200 was an established model and changed little from the launch version. It kept the 130 hp V90 twin, the steel-and-aluminium chassis and Sachs suspension. It was offered as a standard bike and as an ABS/ATC version with traction control. The 750 sold more, but the 1200 drew riders who wanted big-twin torque with supermoto handling.
