The 1987 Tuareg 125 was a bigger-looking 'maxi' restyle with twin headlights, a low front mudguard and bold blue or red graphics. Underneath it moved to a revised Rotax 127 derived from the AF1 Project 108 engine, with the RAVE 2 power valve and electric start, though peak output stayed where it had been. It served as the bridge between the original Tuareg and the 1988 Wind.
