The 750 Sei was the first production six-cylinder motorcycle when it launched in 1974, a stylish and smooth Italian superbike. Its engine owed a lot to Honda's CB500 layout, but with a gear-driven alternator behind the cylinders to keep it narrow. It handled and braked well but was not quick for its class, and its price and reliability worries limited sales.
