The 2012 RS 520 is the biggest-engined bike in Beta's street-legal dual-sport trio, essentially an RR enduro racer fitted with mirrors, indicators and a plate holder. For 2012 it received a reinforced cylinder head, new clutch primary gear and a gusseted frame. A magazine test praised its low-end grunt and agility but found the gearing road-biased and the carburettor sensitive to altitude.
