The Concept C was BMW Motorrad's first big-scooter study, presented by design chief David Robb at EICMA in Milan in November 2010, with the C standing for 'commuter'. It paired a twin-cylinder engine and CVT with genuinely motorcycle-like hardware: an upside-down fork, radial front brakes, ABS, a single-sided swingarm and an LED headlight in a sharp split-face fairing. BMW said the study was the first step towards two premium combustion-engined production scooters to be built at its Berlin plant.
