The eRR was an experimental electric superbike that BMW Motorrad revealed in November 2015, developed together with the Technical University of Munich. It put an electric drivetrain into the chassis and bodywork of the S 1000 RR to test how a sports bike behaves with battery power. BMW said it pulled harder off the line than its C evolution scooter but kept the technical details to itself. It stayed a research project and no production electric superbike followed.
