A one-off show bike built for the 80th anniversary of the 1936 BMW R 5 and unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in May 2016. Brothers Ronny and Benny Noren hand-built it from BMW Motorrad Design sketches around a race-damaged original 500 cc R 5 boxer, which was rebuilt and fitted with a purpose-made supercharger. The oval-tube frame, tank, steel rear fender, fork covers and combined brake/spoke hubs were all made for it, finished in black with white pinstripes. It was a design study only and did not lead to a production model.
