2002 was the Scarver's first full season. Mechanically it was the launch bike: injected 652 cc single, five-speed gearbox, belt final drive and 17-inch cast wheels with sport-touring tyres, with ABS available as an option. It targeted newer riders who wanted a light, low-seat BMW for town and back roads.
