For 1997 the engine was revised so the Funduro could run on regular-grade petrol, and the bike went on sale in the USA that year. The listed seat height rose slightly to 810 mm and the quoted weights became 173 kg dry and 191 kg wet. Otherwise the Aprilia-built single was unchanged.
