The 2005 Dakar carried over the twin-spark, BMS-C II engine and the restyled bodywork introduced for 2004 with no notable changes. It still offered 210 mm of travel at both ends, a 21-inch front wheel and an 870 mm seat. Optional extras included switchable ABS, heated grips, a low seat and luggage.
