The F 800 GS Adventure launched for 2013 as the first mid-size bike in BMW's GS Adventure line. It keeps the F 800 GS engine and chassis but adds a 24-litre tank (8 litres more), a reinforced rear subframe, a taller screen, a more comfortable seat, wide enduro footrests and engine protection bars. ABS is standard, with ASC, ESA and a new Enduro riding mode on the options list.
