The 2015 facelift was the biggest change in the F 800 R's life: output rose from 64 to 66 kW (90 hp), first and second gears were shortened, and an upside-down fork with radially mounted front calipers replaced the old telescopic fork. New bodywork, a symmetrical headlight, lighter wheels, tapered aluminium bars, lower footpegs and a 790 mm seat came with it, and ABS was standard with ASC and ESA as options.
