The 2023 update of the M 1000 RR left the engine, frame and suspension essentially as before and worked on aerodynamics instead. A new carbon fairing with a taller screen, redesigned M winglets with around 40 percent more downforce and carbon brake-cooling ducts in the front mudguard raised the claimed top speed from 306 to 314 km/h. New seat contours and a revised tail section rounded off the changes on BMW's homologation special for World Superbike.
