The "Bumble Bee" is the R 100 GS in its black bodywork with yellow tank, seat and panels, a colour scheme new at the model's launch and sold alongside the Paris-Dakar version. Underneath it is the standard 980 cc, 60 hp R 100 GS with Paralever rear suspension; the livery is what made it distinctive and it is now one of the most sought-after GS colourways.
