Limited 1998 edition of the R 1100 R celebrating 75 years of BMW motorcycles. It was mechanically standard but finished in Night Black with white double pinstripes on the tank and side panels, a black seat and '75' decals, recalling the paint of the 1923 R 32, and came with ABS, heated grips and pannier holders as standard (cross-spoke wheels optional). Owners also received the anniversary edition folder and key case.
