The 2005 R 1150 GS Adventure was the last of the line, built alongside the new R 1200 GS before the R 1200 GS Adventure took over. It kept the oil-cooled 1130 cc boxer, 30 litre tank and long-travel chassis. Its reputation as the big overland bike of the period lasted long after production ended.
