The R 1150 RS replaced the R 1100 RS by putting the 1130 cc engine and six-speed gearbox from the R 1150 RT into the familiar RS sports-touring half fairing. It is a fast, stable long-distance machine with Telelever front suspension, adjustable seat and bars, and BMW's EVO brakes, with Integral ABS on the better-equipped versions.
