BMW file

The Montauk, on sale from autumn 2003, was the third model line of BMW's cruiser family and borrowed the front Telelever, fat 16-inch cast front wheel with 150-section tyre and instruments from the R 1200 CL tourer. It was recognisable by its stacked twin headlights, small handlebar-mounted screen, wide front mudguard and new seat and side covers, and came standard with dual-spark ignition, EVO brakes with full Integral ABS and heated grips. The same 61 hp boxer was tuned for relaxed touring rather than speed.
