The 2009 R 1200 GS Adventure continued the 2008 update unchanged: the 105 hp single-cam boxer, the shorter-first-gear six-speed box, 33-litre tank and long-travel suspension. It remained the heavyweight long-range tourer of the range, surprisingly agile on tarmac but a handful in slow, technical terrain.
