One of three 2013 special models (with the R 1200 R and R 1200 RT) marking 90 years of BMW Motorrad, built on the last air-cooled R 1200 GS Adventure. The changes are cosmetic: sapphire black metallic tank cover and mudguard, matt black engine, gold anodised fork tubes and brake calipers, grey swingarm and frame, olive-grey trim and seat, and a polished brass plate in place of the BMW logo on the fork bridge. Mechanically it matches the standard Adventure.
