The 2014 R 1200 GS Adventure (K51) brought the water-cooled 125 hp boxer to the Adventure, a year after the standard GS. It adds longer suspension travel, more ground clearance, a 30-litre tank, larger screen and crash protection to the LC platform, making it the long-range expedition version of the range.
