For 2017 the R 1200 GS was updated for Euro 4 with unchanged 125 hp output, revised knee area ergonomics and new styling variants, plus optional Riding Modes Pro (with ABS Pro and Hill Start Control) and Dynamic ESA 'Next Generation'. The Exclusive style is the touring-oriented look: Iced Chocolate metallic tank cover and front splash guard, stainless radiator trim, Agate Grey matt frame, black drivetrain, gold brake calipers and a comfort two-piece seat; TE adds the Touring Edition equipment.
