The R 18 B is BMW's bagger take on the big-boxer cruiser, adding a fork-mounted fairing with a low windscreen, integrated hard saddlebags, a 24-litre tank and a Marshall sound system. It also gets longer rear suspension travel with automatic load compensation, cast wheels and a slimmer two-up seat, and weighs 398 kg ready to ride. Dynamic cruise control was standard, with active (radar) cruise control, reverse assist and hill start control on the options list.
