A sportier 'Luxus Sport' version of the 1981-revised R 65, styled by Hans A. Muth with a small angular cockpit fairing, a new seat and tail section, lower bars and distinctive paint. Underneath it used the updated 50 hp engine with electronic ignition, but added twin front discs and different wheels. It was a styling-led model with limited sales of around 6,400.
