The final plunger-framed BMW, built for 1955-56 and sold from the factory only as a sidecar outfit after the swing-arm R 50 and R 69 had replaced the solo models. It carried over the R 67/2's 28 hp engine and duplex front brake largely unchanged. Its withdrawal in 1956 ended the plunger-suspension era that BMW had begun in 1938.
