The R69US was a US-market version of the R69S that swapped the Earles leading-link fork for a modern hydraulically damped telescopic fork, foreshadowing the /5 series. Without the Earles fork it had no sidecar mounting lugs, and it came with bar-end indicators and an optional large 24-litre tank. The 42 hp engine and drivetrain were shared with the R69S, and only around 1,750 were built.
