BMW file

The R 80 R was the 800 cc version of BMW's retro R 100 R roadster, offered mainly for European markets where the smaller engine suited licensing, emissions or insurance rules. It combined the two-valve boxer with the Paralever rear end, cast wheels, a single front disc and a classic round headlamp and instruments. Germany also got derated versions for learners and riding schools.
