The 2021 R nineT is the EU-5 update of BMW's retro roadster: new cylinder heads trimmed peak power by 1 hp to 109 hp but strengthened the mid-range, and ABS Pro with Dynamic Brake Control, Rain and Road riding modes, an LED headlight and a revised rear shock became standard. The flagship of the family keeps the 46 mm upside-down fork, spoked wheels and 18-litre tank, and it remained in the range until the R 12 nineT took over for 2024.
