The 2025 update of the S 1000 R raised output by 5 hp to 170 hp, reshaped the torque curve for better pull and brought the engine into line with Euro 5+. It gained shorter final gearing, a wider 200-section rear tyre, a slightly longer wheelbase and new rear lights with the brake and tail lamps built into the indicators. More equipment became standard, and the bike is offered in base, Style Sport and M package versions.
