The 2015 S 1000 RR was the first big rework of BMW's superbike, often called the second generation. Power rose by about 6 hp to 199 hp, weight dropped by roughly 4 kg, and it got a revised frame and geometry, a new exhaust and a new headlight layout in fresh bodywork. Riding modes were expanded with a configurable User mode, and option packs added semi-active Dynamic Damping Control, launch control, a pit-lane limiter and cruise control.
