BSA, short for Birmingham Small Arms, began as a gunmaking company and built motorcycles from 1910. By the 1950s it was the largest motorcycle maker in the world, with the Bantam, the A7 and A10 twins, the Gold Star and the C- and B-range singles. The company collapsed in the early 1970s under Japanese competition. The name was revived in 2021 by Classic Legends, owned by Mahindra, with the new Gold Star 650.
