BSA's Blue Star was the company's sporting road single of the early 1930s, offered in 250, 350 and 500 cc forms. The 500 was the best seller and its engine lineage led to the Empire Star in 1936 and the Gold Star in 1938. Once the Empire Star arrived with a new Val Page engine in 1937, the Blue Star was dropped.
