Cagiva file

The first road-going Elefant 900, built to homologate Cagiva's Dakar rally machine and launched in the Lucky Explorer sponsor colours. It combined a Ducati 900SS-style air-cooled desmodromic V-twin with Weber-Marelli fuel injection, Ohlins rear suspension and a tall 19-inch front wheel. It suited road touring better than serious off-road use.
