Shown at Bologna in December 1988 and on sale from March 1989, the C12R was the last of the Arrow-series 125s. It kept the C10R look but gained a smaller screen and front mudguard, three-spoke wheels, a red and white livery, and engine updates including an electronically controlled exhaust valve and a seventh gear. It previewed technology used on the Mito.
