The Raptor 650 was Cagiva's naked V-twin roadster, powered by a carburetted Suzuki SV650-derived 90 degree engine in a steel tube frame with a dual exhaust. It paired upside-down forks and twin front discs with a firm sporting stance, aimed at riders wanting Italian styling with a proven Japanese engine. This first series used Mikuni carburettors before the injected version arrived in 2005.
