The Mulhacén 659 is a retro-styled naked roadster from Derbi, built around a single-cylinder engine made in Italy by Minarelli for Yamaha. It was the biggest-capacity motorcycle Derbi had produced, with fuel injection, a trellis frame and a rising-rate rear linkage. Testers praised its handling on twisty roads over its modest power.
