The 1000 SS DS is the half-faired sporting member of the Supersport line, built around the air-cooled 992 cc Dual Spark Desmodue twin. It combines a tubular trellis frame, Showa fork, Ohlins rear shock and Brembo brakes in a comfortable, relaxed-handling package. It was the only Supersport left in the range after the smaller engines were dropped.
