A 2007 special edition of the Sport 1000 S sold only in North America, in a numbered run of about 100 bikes (reported as 90 for the US and 10 for Canada). Instead of the usual red scheme it wore black paint with gold accents, inspired by the 1978 900SS Darmah. Mechanically it matches the standard SportClassic S: air-cooled 992 cc Desmodue, six-speed gearbox and Marzocchi/Sachs suspension.
