For 2011 the 1198 was shown at the INTERMOT show with three race-derived systems as standard: Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Quick Shift for clutchless upshifts, and the Data Analyser. It was finished in Ducati red with black frame and graphite wheels, and kept the Showa-suspended chassis and 1198 cc engine.
