The narrow-case Mark 3 was a sports 250 single in the Mach 1 mould, with a bevel-driven SOHC engine and five-speed gearbox, but with more power at 30 hp. Contemporary testers found it fast and well-handling for its size, though suspension, vibration and the 6V electrics drew criticism. It was among the quickest bikes in its class in a period group test.
