The desmo Mark 3D of 1969-70 moved to a black frame and a single-filler tank, and non-desmo versions lost their chrome in favour of silver paint. It was a high-revving, all-alloy single with a heel-and-toe gear lever, famed for a sudden power rush near 6500 rpm.
